SETTING

The action of this play is set in the Springfield High School Gymnasium. The show takes place during the class of 1958's senior prom and 10 year reunion.

as Cindy Lou

Michala Montaño is thrilled to be returning to the Hale Centre Theatre stage. Karissa Anderson
as Missy

Karissa is absolutely thrilled to be part of this stellar cast of women. Some of her favorite past roles have been Nellie in South Pacific, Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, Bianca in Taming of the Shrew, and Cinderella in Into the Woods. When off-stage, Karissa’s most treasured way to spend time is with her amazing family. She also adores her job making magic for hundreds of children as a birthday party princess performer. Thank you so much to the incredible cast, crew, and artistic team of The Marvelous Wonderettes for this marvelously wonderful experience.

as Betty Jean 

Alice is so thrilled to be a part of The Marvelous Wonderettes! Alice was most recently seen on the Hale stage in A Christmas Carol (Mrs. Cratchit) and Fiddler on the Roof (Golde). as Suzy

Brie is elated to be a part of this MARVELOUS production! Gracie Gamble

Gracie has had the pleasure of working at Hale many times over the last year. Some roles included in her time on the Hale stage are Hodel in Fiddler on The Roof and Penelope in See How They Run. Gracie works in activities at a memory care facility during the day and currently attends ASU online, working to attain her masters degree in History. 

Diana Stapley
as Suzy u.s.

Diana is thrilled to be back at Hale with this marvelous cast and crew! She was most recently seen as Fred’s Wife in A Christmas Carol. Other HCT credits include: Steel Magnolias (Shelby), Holiday Inn, Joseph And The Amazing Dreamcoat, Cinderella, and Newsies. Outside of theater, she is currently pursuing her Bachelor's at ASU. Diana thanks everyone involved with special thanks to her family for their unending support. 

Melissa Van Slyke
as Betty Jean u.s.

Melissa is happy to return to the Hale Theatre and revisit one of her favorite roles. She was last seen in The Little Mermaid as Ursula, The Music Man (Alma Hix) and Nunsense (Hubert). Favorite past Hale credits include The Secret Garden (Martha) and The Marvelous Wonderettes (Betty Jean). She sends all her love to her husband Krys and their 4 beautiful kids; Olive, Iris, Atticus and Miles.

Cambrian James
Director / Choreographer

Cambrian James is well-known for his versatile staging throughout the Valley and nationally. He is a multi-award winning director and choreographer for Tarzan, The Wizard of Oz, Footloose, Damn Yankees and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Cambrian has enjoyed a long career as an actor and dancer in Annie (Daddy Warbucks), Crazy For You (Bobby Child), The King and I (The King) and Hairspray (Edna Turnblad).

Cathy Hauan
Music Director 

Dr. Cathy Hauan recently retired from Mesa Community College, where she taught voice and musical theatre. There she served as conductor/pianist for 65 musicals since 2001. Favorites include Parade, Sweeney Todd, The Secret Garden, and Beauty and the Beast. She has 2 ariZoni Awards. Cathy received her DMA in Vocal Performance from ASU. Onstage she has appeared in opera, oratorio, and music theater. Favorite roles include Sister Mary Amnesia (Nunsense) and as a little old lady in The Producers (which she was also conducting).
