Cyrus Nabipoor
Trumpet-Music Director

Cyrus Nabipoor is a trumpeter, composer, arranger and educator. A distinctive voice both on the horn and in his songwriting, Cyrus’ singular sound has garnered him international acclaim. He has been a featured festival artist at PDX Jazz, Cathedral Park, Montavilla Jazz, New Orleans French Quarter, and Chicago Instigation. In addition to his self-titled work, Cyrus runs the Puddletown Stompers, is a member of Reb & The Good News, and remains active as a sideman. An in-demand composer/arranger, Cyrus has had several works commissioned by Portland Jazz Composer’s Ensemble. Cyrus has produced horn tracks for major artists including Nicky Youre, Grace Enger, Maggie Koerner, Peach Tree Rascals, and David Hugo. He has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with a wide variety of artists including Jamison Ross, Elle King, Tarriona “Tank” Ball, Wess “Warmdaddy” Anderson, James Singleton, Jason Marsalis, Steve Masakowski, Mike Dillon, Stanton Moore, Amina Scott & Nicole McCabe. In 2015, Cyrus was awarded the International Trumpet Guild Jazz Scholarship. 


Carl Ellis
Trombone-Vocals

Ellis Seiberling was born to teachers in North Carolina.  A fourth generation trombonist, he received degrees in classical performance from CCM in Cincinnati and The Ohio University.  He was based in Chicago for a time before moving to New Orleans, where he has been for ten years.  He has performed from Seattle to Copenhagen, in venues such as the Montreal Jazz Festival, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.  He currently plays with the bands Bon Bon Vivant, the Good for Nothin' Band, and the Fritzel's All Stars.


Kyle Ohlson
Clarinet-Saxophone

Originally from Niagara Falls, NY, Kyle Ohlson is a woodwind player based out of New Orleans. As both a sideman and band leader, Mr. Ohlson has toured throughout Asia, Europe, North America & the Caribbean. With an upbringing in the roots musics of the States, his experiences range from opening for the Dropkick Murphys, to performing  at The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. An avid busker, while not playing in the venues of New Orleans he can be found leading his band, The Ohlson Family Roadshow, on Royal Street in the French Quarter. 


Coyote Anderson
Guitar

New Orleans based Multi-Instrumentalist Coyote Anderson has been working as a professional musician from a young age, playing both onstage and on recordings since the age of 14. After nearly a decade's worth of working in NYC as a studio musician, an award winning composer/arranger, and organizer of after-school guitar programs, Coyote moved to New Orleans in 2016. 

Since then he has become an integral part of the live music scene as both an accomplished bandleader as well as an in demand sideman known for being able to play a myriad of genres on a multitude of different instruments. Coyote also keeps in touch with his education background with both private lessons and group classes through the formation of the NOLA Music Hive.

Morale Hoskins
Sousaphone

Morale Hoskins began his musical journey at age four with the drumset, later adding the tuba in middle school. In high school, he committed to a music career, leading to a seven-year tenure with the United States Marine Corps bands, where he toured extensively across the Pacific-Asia regions and the United States. In 2019, he was stationed in New Orleans and immersed himself in the local music scene, particularly secondline brass bands. After completing his service in 2022, he pursued a Bachelor of Music in Music Industry Studies at Loyola University New Orleans. Currently, Morale is a member of the Tidal Wave Brass Band and has collaborated with artist and groups like Jon Batiste, Trumpet Mafia, and The Dukes of Dixieland. 

Zachariah Garn
Drums

Zachariah Garn is originally from Northern California but he and his wife have lived in New Orleans since 2019. He has been working as a full time musician since then, playing frequently in the city and the surrounding area. As a drummer he is attracted to New Orleans as the birthplace of jazz music, a music that features the drums very highly. Living and playing here has allowed him to grow and develop both his technical and expressive ability on the drums. He is very grateful to spend this time living in the most magical city in America.

Brigitta Teuscher
Vocals

Brigitta Teuscher is a contemporary vocalist with roots in Portland, Oregon. Her voice has been lauded as having a rare mix of unconventional warmth and power. She is a songwriter and producer who celebrates jazz evolution while incorporating contemporary elements to give traditional styles new legs.

She was the Best Vocalist winner at the Teagarden Jazz Festival singing for the Jazz Legacy Band and lead vocalist for five years in the internationally renowned Synthesis Jazz Band. Has experience touring in Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, England, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Puerto Rico.

Performance highlights include getting the first triple encore in the Saukraasti Jazz Festival’s history, being a featured vocalist at the National Theatre of Cuba, and  performing at Festinord’s 50th Anniversary in Stockholm, Sweden. She opened for Alfie Boe at Abravanel Hall and was featured on albums such as Downbeat and Leaving Vancouver.

Krispin Banks
Vocals

Krispin, a Dallas native and one half of the Christian R&B music duo KrisandKiirt, grew up with a musical influence from his mother, & blossomed through singing Gospel and R&B. A retired collegiate & pro basketball player, he relocated with his family to the Salt Lake Valley to focus on acting and music with his brother, Kiirt Banks. As an actor, he’s performed at West Valley Performing Arts, the Eccles Theatre (Logan), and recenlty starred as Booker T. Washington in “Ragtime” at The Ruth and Nathan Hale Theatre Orem. Krispin is working to release his debut album this summer & Kris&Kiirt are set to release their 3rd single, “Better Way”, in March.


Ben Hale
Vocals

Ben has lead a multifaceted career in live music, recording and musical theater. He has performed professionally as a singer for over 18 years and is also an accomplished songwriter. He’s toured across the United States and Canada for the last decade performing both original music and tributes to the great musical icons Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison and more. 

He has worked with Broadway royalty Andrew Lloyd Weber, Hal Prince and the original creative team from Phantom of the Opera. He has worked Grammy award winning producers Mark Neill and Vance Powell and with Chuck Mead and producer Mark Rubel.
