Michala Montaño
as Lettie

Michala Montaño (Lettie) is thrilled to be returning to the Hale Centre Theatre stage! Some of her favorite past Hale credits include: Bye Bye Birdie (Rosie Alvarez), The Unsinkable Molly Brown (Molly Brown), and The Andrew’s Brothers (Peggy Jones). She is honored to be sharing the stage with such a talented cast and crew. "Special thanks to Dave, Corrin, Cambrian, and Cathy for this wonderful opportunity." Matthew McGee
as Flint

Matthew Aldwin McGee (Flint) is an award-winning actor, puppet designer, and recent transplant to Arizona. Originally from Central California, Matt honed his craft in the Washington, DC area, performing everything from Shakespeare to children’s theatre. His puppet creations have graced the stages of the Kennedy Center and many others across the country. A two-time Jim Henson Foundation grant award-winner, Matt is now the Director of Fabrication at the Great Arizona Puppet Theater. www.mattamagical.com @mattamagical

Adam Guinn

Adam Guinn (Clive) is thrilled to be a part of Something’s Afoot. Adam considers Hale his home theatre and considers everyone he works with there an extension of his family. Adam would like to thank Cambrian, Cathy, Dave and Corrin for the opportunity to bring the character of Clive to life. Adam also wants to thank Renée and Harper for the daily inspiration, Mom and Dad for being his biggest fans as well as Momma and Papa Russo and Lex for their love and support. 

Carmiña Monserrat
as Hope Langdon

Carmiña Monserrat (Hope Langdon) is excited and grateful to be back on the Hale Centre Theatre stage! Select credits: Maggie in A Chorus Line, Louise LeBreton in The Hello Girls! (The Phoenix Theatre Company), Ariel in Footloose, and Jean MacLaren in Brigadoon (Hale Centre Theatre). Special thanks to the creative team for this opportunity y mucho amor to her friends and family for always loving and supporting her.

Brandon Zale
as Dr. Grayburn

Brandon Zale (Dr. Grayburn) is thrilled to be returning to Hale after recently portraying Julian Marsh in 42nd Street. Other Hale credits include Footloose, Sound of Music, Bright Star and Me and My Girl. Favorite Phoenix-area credits include Billy Elliot (TPTC) and Man of La Mancha (Theaterworks). In his native Chicago, professional credits include The Secret Garden, The Music Man, Christmas Schooner and Ragtime. Brandon is the Fine Arts Chair at Rancho Solano Preparatory School, a regular National Anthem Soloist for the Diamondbacks, and holds a BFA from Millikin University. Special thanks to his family for their support.

Trevon Powell
as Nigel Rancour

Trevon Powell (Nigel Rancour) has performed in multiple roles ranging from Terk (Tarzan) to Seaweed J. Stubs (Hairspray). Some of Trevon’s other work includes; Beadle Bamford (Sweeney Todd), Sebastian (Disney's The Little Mermaid), Eddie Souther (Sister Act), Dr. Madden (Next To Normal), Lawrence Andrews (The Andrews Brothers), and Christmas Morgan (The Unsinkable Molly Brown). He has also recently directed and costume designed at various local theaters, and is partnered with the Tempe History Museum in creating historical costumes for historical interpretation work. Trevon plans to move to NYC in the year 2024. Trevon also loves ice cream. Get him ice cream. 

Gillian Elliott
as Lady Grace Manley-Prowe

Gillian Elliott (Lady Grace Manley-Prowe) is thrilled to be back on the Hale stage! Past credits include: Ensemble, Mrs. Potts/Madame de la Grande Bouche u.s. in Beauty and the Beast (Hale), Baker's Wife in Into the Woods (CGCC), and Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd (MCC). Gillian is a Zoni award winning actress as well as a three time Irene Ryan nominee and semi finalist. She would like to thank the entire Hale team for this opportunity, the cast for their love and acceptance, and her family for their undying support. “Enjoy the show!” 

Rob Stuart
as Colonel Gillweather

Rob Stuart (Colonel Gillweather) has spent 15 years on this stage, and is excited for this show! His favorite roles include Atticus Finch (To Kill a Mockingbird), Henry Higgins (My Fair Lady), Richard Hannay (The 39 Steps), Caractacus Potts (Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang), and The Dentist (Little Shop of Horrors). Each December, he plays Ebenezer Scrooge (A Christmas Carol) on this stage as well. Thanks to Melody and the (adult) “kids” for their continued support!

Bonnie Beus Romney
as Miss Tweed

Bonnie Beus Romney (Miss Tweed) has appeared here as Lizzie Curry in The Rainmaker, and Mrs. Cratchit in A Christmas Carol for six of the last seven years. Regional credits: Alice Heminges (The Book of Will) and Bertha Hunt (The Hello Girls) with Phoenix Theatre, Ariel (The Tempest) and Hamlet (Hamlet) with Southwest Shakespeare, also roles with Pioneer Theatre, Childsplay and Arizona Broadway Theatre. Bonnie is a Tony nominated producer (The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window), music director and all around supporter of the theater. "Thank you for being here. Let’s experience something special together."

Bennett Allen Wood
as Geoffrey

Bennett Allen Wood (Geoffrey) is overjoyed to be invited to this marvelous weekend in England! This is Bennett’s eleventh Hale production and fifth this year. Some other credits include Fly More Than You Fall (World Premiere, Broadway World Winner), Angel (RENT), Jack (Into the Woods), and Edgar Allan Poe (Nevermore). Bennett would love to thank his family, friends, and boyfriend for their endless love and support, as well as Cambrian, Cathy, and all the rest of the cast and crew involved in solving this mystery. Amanda Valenzuela
as Hope Langdon u.s. / Lettie u.s.

Amanda Valenzuela (Hope u.s., Lettie u.s.) is thrilled to be back at the Hale after playing Babette (Beauty and the Beast). She has recently returned from Salt Lake City where she performed in Titanic. She was also recently seen as Dyanne in the world premiere of Million Dollar Quartet Christmas. Other Hale Gilbert credits include: Marian Paroo (The Music Man), Fiona MacLaren (Brigadoon), Morticia (The Addams Family), Christine (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Irene Molloy (Hello Dolly), and Truly Scrumptious (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang). Many thanks to Dave, Corrin, Cambrian, Cathy, the cast, crew, and her family. She hopes you enjoy the show! 

Kira Galindo
as Miss Tweed u.s. / Lady Grace Manley-Prowe u.s.

Kira Galindo (Miss Tweed u.s., Lady Grace u.s.) is making her Hale debut. Favorite roles; Madam (Roger and Hammerstein’s Cinderella), The Narrator (Blood Bloody Andrew Jackson), Rhetta Cupp (Pump Boys and Dinettes), and Meredith (Bat Boy the Musical). Kira has a BA in Performance from the University of Wyoming. She has toured internationally, opened in Las Vegas, and has performed Off Broadway in NYC. Thanks to her family, friends, Mr. Mikus, General, and her Rocket Scientist husband for all the support and love. “Thank you Hale for this opportunity. Third row aisle seat Mom, we’re almost there.”

Reece Harris
as Nigel Rancour u.s. / Clive u.s. / Geoffrey u.s.

Reece Harris (Nigel u.s., Clive u.s., Flint u.s.) is excited to be working under and learning from this incredible cast of people! He has previously been seen on the Hale stage as Joey in Sister Act, Patrick Andrews in The Andrews Brothers, and Prince DeLong in The Unsinkable Molly Brown. He is incredibly grateful for all of you who have taken the time to see this show, and for the continued support from friends and family.

Cambrian James
Director / Choreographer

Cambrian is well-known for his versatile staging throughout the Valley and nationally. He is a multi-award winning director and choreographer for Tarzan, The Wizard of Oz, Footloose, Damn Yankees and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Cambrian has enjoyed a long career as an actor and dancer as Daddy Warbucks in Annie, Bobby Child in Crazy For You, The King in The King and I, and Edna Turnblad in Hairspray.

Cathy Hauan
Music Director

Dr. Cathy Hauan recently retired from Mesa Community College, where she taught voice and musical theatre. There she served as conductor/pianist for 65 musicals since 2001. Favorites include Parade, Sweeney Todd, The Secret Garden, and Beauty and the Beast. She has 2 ariZoni Awards. Cathy received her DMA in Vocal Performance from ASU. Onstage she has appeared in opera, oratorio, and music theater. Favorite roles include Sister Mary Amnesia (Nunsense) and as a little old lady in The Producers (which she was also conducting).
