SETTING

The entire action of the play takes place on the back porch of the Archer's home. The year is 1943.

Scene I: About five in the afternoon on a summer's day in July.

Scene I: Saturday morning, two months later.

Tyler Brignone
as Harry Archer

Tyler is excited to be back at the Hale! He was most recently seen in Bye Bye Birdie (Albert), 42nd Street (Pat), Footloose (Reverend Shaw), and The Music Man (Quartet member). All his love to Jere and the rest of the cast, as well as Emily, James, and Adam.

Virginia Olivieri
as Janet Archer

Virginia is honored to be returning to the Hale stage! As an award-winning, critically acclaimed director and actor, some of her favorite shows and roles have been: The Gazebo (Nell Nash), 5 Lesbians Eating A Quiche (Director), Frost/Nixon (ariZoni Award Winner- Best Director), Oleanna (Director), Glengarry Glen Ross (ariZoni Award Nominee- Best Director), The Woman in Black (Director), and Macbeth (Lady Macbeth). Thank you to the whole team at Hale as well as her ducks Dylan, Nick, Gabby, and partner Rick.

Kale Burr
as Lenny Archer

Kale is thrilled to return to the Hale stage! He was most recently seen in Sh-Boom! Life Could Be A Dream (Duke Henderson). Favorite Hale credits: Footloose (Ren McCormack), West Side Story (Riff), and A Christmas Carol (Young Scrooge). Other favorites: Newsies (Jack Kelly), RENT (Roger), The Secret Garden (Dickon), and The Music Man: In Concert (Tommy Djilas). Kale can also be seen on-screen in ads with the NFL, Harkins Theaters, and Arlo Security. He expresses his endless gratitude to the cast, creative team, and his friends and family for their never-ending support.

Mae Soelberg
as Corliss Archer

Mae is beyond excited to star in her first production at Hale! She has been singing, dancing, and acting before she learned to talk and it's been a dream come true for her to work with this wonderful cast and crew. In the fall, Mae plans to attend Utah Valley University and major in Musical Theater. She wants to thank her family for showing her an infinite amount of support!

J. Clay Lawson
as Uncle George

This is J. Clay's fourth show at Hale, and he's excited to hit the boards once again.  Past performances include: The Rainmaker (H.C. Curry), And Then There Were None (General McKenzie), and The Hit (Siposh). Special thanks goes out to family, friends, and the entire Hale Centre Theatre for their support.

Julie Smith Yolles
as Louise

Julie is incredibly excited to be making her Hale debut. Regional favorites include: Second City Detroit, Female Odd Couple (Olive), Rumors (Chris), Calendar Girls (Celia), Steel Magnolias (Annelle), Dixie Swim Club (Dinah), Sisters Rosensweig (Pfeni), Last Night of Ballyhoo (Lala), Hello, Dolly! (Minnie Faye) and Rocky Horror Picture Show (Columbia). Thanks a million to Dave, Corrin and Jere for casting a fellow midwesterner to be a part of this stellar cast and crew family.

Tyler Maxson
as Bill Franklin

Tyler is happy to return to Hale. Some of Tyler’s favorite credits include: Forever Plaid (Smudge), The Scarlet Pimpernel (Sir Blakeney), Blackbeard: The Musical (Blackbeard), and Kiss Me Kate (Fred Graham). After years of sharing the stage with his wife, Tyler is loving sharing the stage with his son. "Thank you Hale and thank you Jere for this experience!"

Alice Johnson
as Mary Franklin / Janet Archer u.s.

Alice is thrilled to be back at Hale! She was recently seen on the HCT stage in Fiddler on the Roof (Golde). Previous HCT roles include: Nunsense (Sister Robert Anne), and Freaky Friday (Mrs. Myers/Danielle). Special thanks to Jere for all the guidance and hard work, and the Deitleins for the opportunity to be a part of the amazing Hale Theatre. Bowen Maxson
as Dexter Franklin

Bowen is excited to perform at Hale!  Other credits include: See How They Run (Corporal Clive, Westwood H.S.), Junie B. Jones (Mr. Scary/Gladys Gutsman, Fuse PAC), The Addams Family (Gomez, Fuse PAC), Footloose (Ren, Westwood H.S.), The Play That Goes Wrong (Dennis, Westwood H.S.), and A Christmas Carol (Tiny Tim, Hale Centre Theatre) when he was six. Jere Van Patten
as Director / Robert Pringle / Mr. Willard

Jere is an award-winning actor and director represented by the Leighton Agency.  His most recent directing project was Steel Magnolias here at the Hale.  Favorite credits include: Hairspray (Edna), The 39 Steps (Clown 2), Forever Plaid (Jinx), and Seussical (Horton). By day, Jere is the Fine Arts Director for ALA's Queen Creek High School. "Thank you Dave and Corrin for another amazing experience; Brittany, Jacki, Cambrian and the rest of the incredible design team for being such great collaborators; this incredible cast and crew who have made this such a fun adventure; and finally, YOU in the audience, for supporting local theatre! Love to Allyson & my 3 MVP's!"

Allyson Van Patten
as Dorothy Pringle

Allyson is thrilled to be returning to Hale's stage, where she was last seen in Beau Jest (Miriam). She is an award-winning actor, director, voice teacher and coach.  She is adjunct faculty at Mesa Community College, and operates a private voice studio as well.  Favorite credit include: My Favorite Year (Belle), and HMS Pinafore (Buttercup). She has directed several award-winning productions for MCC including: The Producers, The Secret Garden, Beauty & the Beast, and many more. Much love to her amazing husband, Jere, and her three fabulous children: Maggie, Max, and Mayzie. Thanks for holding down the fort so mom and dad could play. @mvpmom3 

Emma Wind
as Mildred Pringle

Emma is “thrilled to tears” to be making her Hale debut in Kiss and Tell! She is excited to be acting again after a long 4 year hiatus due to her service in the United States Marine Corps. She is happy to be working with Jere again and would like to thank him and the Dietleins for the opportunity to be a part of this production.

Max Nevarez
as Raymond Pringle

Max is honored to make his Hale debut! He is grateful to everyone at HCT for this opportunity and has loved every minute of preparation. Max’s favorite past credits include: Frozen Jr. (Olaf), Matilda Jr. (Mr. Wormwood), Aladdin Jr. (Omar), Newsies (Les), and Seussical Jr. (Jojo) at Center Stage Academy. He was awarded first overall at NATS in the Commercial Music Youth Vocal Category. Max would like to thank his friends, family and village for their unwavering support. Most of all he wants to thank his parents for all they do for him. Max hopes you enjoy the show!

Truman Regard-Whipple
as Private Earhart

Truman is honored to be taking to the stage again at Hale as Private Earhart in Kiss and Tell! He is excited to perform again after recently being seen in: My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof, and Bye Bye Birdie. He is excited to bring his best to this role, while performing alongside such a wonderful cast and crew. He would also like to thank the directing team for making this show possible!

Adam Guinn
as Harry Archer u.s. / Bill Franklin u.s.

Adam is thrilled to be a part of Kiss and Tell. This show has been a pleasure to prepare for and he can’t wait to see how audiences react to this cast of ridiculously talented folks. Adam would like to thank his castmates/crew for being amazing human beings, Jere for his direction as well as insight, Dave and Corrin for their support and leadership, and his family for being all his reasons! 

Joshua Palmer
as Dexter Franklin u.s.

Joshua is ecstatic to be making his Hale debut. He is a senior at ALAQCHS, where he has been studying theatre for the past 5 years. His recent credits include: Pride and Prejudice (Mr. Bennet), Daddy Long Legs (Jervis), and Holiday Inn (Jim). When not on stage, he is also serving as a State Thespian Officer. He’d like to thank his family for their constant support, and his high school director Jenifer Hansen for her guidance.

Brandt Norris
as Lenny Archer u.s. / Private Earhart u.s.

Brandt is thrilled to be back on the Hale stage for his 12th show! Past credits include: 42nd Street (Billy Lawlor), Beauty and The Beast (Lumiere), and Fiddler on the Roof (Motel). Regional Credits include: Mystic Pizza (Ensemble/Tim Understudy) at the Engeman, and Footloose (Teen Ensemble) at the St. Louis Muny. He wants to thank his friends and family for always supporting him. He also wants to thank Cambrian, Cathy, Dave, and Corrin for giving him this special opportunity!

Hannah Taylor
as Corliss Archer u.s. / Mildred Pringle u.s.

Hannah is absolutely thrilled to be returning to Hale in this hilarious show! She was recently seen in A Christmas Carol (Martha Cratchit). Some of her other favorite past credits include: The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Helena Landless), Romeo and Juliet (Mercutio), and Leading Ladies (Meg Snider). She would love to express gratitude to her wonderful husband Zane, and to her family for all their love and support.

Richard Jones
as Uncle George u.s. / Robert Pringle u.s. / Mr. Willard u.s.

Richard is honored to be in his first Hale production. He has performed in: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Sound of Music, The Music Man, The Wizard of Oz, Into the Woods, Annie, Bye Bye Birdie, Plaid Tidings, and Seussical: The Musical. He is extremely grateful to his wonderful wife Emily for her love and support; also to friends Jere, Laila, and all of this show's delightful cast members.

Kathleen Richards
as Louise u.s. / Dorothy Pringle u.s. / Mary Franklin u.s.

Kathleen was last seen in Steel Magnolias (Ouiser) and Beauty and the Beast (Mrs. Potts). Previous HCTAZ appearances include: Annie, Scarlet Pimpernel, Sister Act, Big River, Guys and Dolls, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Mary Poppins, Nunsense, Footloose, The Music Man, Lucky Stiff, Bye Bye Birdie, and 42nd Street. Other favorite local productions include: The Sound of Music (PTC), and Hello, Dolly! (MET). When not in rehearsal or on stage, she is happily working with kids in theater education. Thanks to Jere, Dave, and Corrin for this opportunity.  Love to Scott, Amelia, Gwendolyn, Mom & Dad who make it all possible!

Henry Swiatkowski
as Raymond Pringle u.s.

Henry is thankful and excited to be back on the Hale stage. Favorite credits include: A Christmas Carol (Doug Cratchit/Boy Scrooge), The Music Man (Wintrhop Paroo), The Secret Garden (Colin), Big Fish (Young Will), and Tarzan (Young Tarzan). Henry would like to thank the entire production team for this experience.
