Griffin Avery is thrilled to make his Hale Theatre debut! He previously starred in Places! Productions' Cinderella (The Prince). Other credits: Narnia (Edmund), The Addams Family (Pugsley), Mary Poppins (Bert), The Lion King Jr. (Young Simba). He recently placed 2nd in both Musical Theater and Classical voice at the 2024–2025 Cal-West Regional NATS competition. Special thanks to his parents and voice teacher Allison Houston for their love, guidance, and strong belief in him.
Beni Bermudez is thrilled to be back for his fifth show at Hale. Recent credits include ATC's Scrooge! (Tiny Tim), HCT's, Holiday Inn (Charlie), FHT's Oliver! (Oliver), and HCT's Newsies (Les). Beni has also won an “AriZoni” for Best Actor–EVCT's A Tale of Bravery. When not performing, Beni enjoys making movies, puppeteering, and perfecting his best Elvis impersonation. Maddie is thrilled to return to the Hale stage! Previous HCT shows include Anything Goes (Angel), Joseph…Dreamcoat (Wives) and Annie (Molly). Maddie is a 16 year old Sophomore. When not performing, she loves playing the piano and co-leading her young women’s group at church. She thanks her family and friends for their support and Dave, Corrin, Cambrian, Lincoln and Tyler for giving her this opportunity. Janaysha Monet is a passionate 17-year-old performer with a love for singing, acting, dancing, and storytelling. Whether on stage or in front of a camera, she thrives in bringing characters to life, embracing every opportunity to grow and experiment with new creative avenues. Outside the spotlight, she’s part of a lively family of 8, complete with a zoo’s worth of animals—chaos and love abound! Her family’s nonprofit organization (At The Outlet Inc) allows her love for the arts to be energized and inspired! With boundless energy and a heart full of gratitude.
Albert is glad to be back performing at Hale Centre Theatre! On the Hale stage, he’s recently been seen in Anything Goes! and and Irving Berlin’s Holiday Inn. Previous to acting, Albert performed for 6 years with Christian Dance Company in The Spirit Of Christmas. “Thank you to all my amazing family, teachers, and mentors for getting where I am today!”
Gary Pimentel is happy to be back on stage at Hale! Recent HCT Credits: Titanic (Isador Straus), My Fair Lady (Harry), The Fiddler on the Roof (Rabbi), Sister Act (Monsignor O’Hara), Lucky Stiff (Body of Tony Hendon ), and And Then There Were None (William Blore). Other favorite theater experiences include Over the River and Through the Woods (Nunzio Cristano), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Nick Bottom), 9 to 5 The Musical (Franklin Hart), and The Fantasticks (Hucklebee). Trevon Powell hails from the great city of Chicago, IL. He has performed in multiple shows ranging from Tarzan: A Stage Musical (Terk) to Hairspray (Seaweed J. Stubs). Some of Trevon’s other work includes: Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd (Beadle Bamford), Disney's Little Mermaid (Sebastian), Sister Act (Eddie Souther), and his most recent show in Anything Goes! (Eli Whitney) He also loves classic music and sings Opera. Trevon plans to move NYC. Trevon also loves ice cream. Get him ice cream!
Cameron is thrilled to be a part of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as Mr. Salt! He is a former United States Marine turned actor after completing his bachelor's degree in film at Arizona State University. Previous productions at the Hale Centre Theatre include Bright Star (Jimmy Ray Dobbs), Beauty and the Beast (Gaston), Titanic The Musical (Bruce Ismay), Camelot (King Arthur) and The Scarlet Pimpernel (Chauvelin).
Kathleen Richards is excited to return to Hale after most recently appearing as in Cinderella (Maria). With a career spanning the country and over 20 years, Kathleen has been seen at several theaters in the valley, most recently as in Wizard of Oz: Concert (Aunt ‘Em). Favorite shows include Sister Act (Mother Superior), Beauty and the Beast (Mrs. Potts), Annie (Miss Hannigan), Steel Magnolias (Ouiser) and Nunsense (Sr Mary Regina). Karissa is so happy to be part of this incredibly talented cast! Most recently, she was seen on the Hale stage in The Marvelous Wonderettes (Missy). Some of her other favorite shows have been A Christmas Carol (The Ghost of Christmas Past), Sleeping Beauty (Aurora), Taming of the Shrew (Bianca), and Into the Woods (Cinderella). When off-stage, Karissa’s most treasured way to spend time is with her amazing family. She also adores her job making magic for hundreds of children as a birthday party princess performer. She has performed around the valley in various roles such as Betty Jean in the Marvelous Wonderettes, Anytime Annie in 42nd Street, Jolene in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Mush/Katherine u.s. in Newsies. Congrats to the cast, and a super special thank you to Ponce for being the most wonderful and supportive husband a theatre girl could ask for.
Ava is thrilled to be in another production here at Hale! Some of her favorite Hale credits include Beauty and the Beast (Silly Girl) and Newsies (Splasher). Other credits include A Chorus Line (Judy Turner) and Saturday Night Fever (Doreen) at The Laguna Playhouse. Ava recently graduated Arizona State University with a BM in Music Theatre with minors in Educational Studies and Dance at Arizona State University. His latest credits include Beauty and the Beast (Lumiere), Sweeney Todd (Sweeney Todd) and Godspell (Telly). Born and raised in Arizona theater, he’d like to thank his family and friends for their incredible support over the years.
Evelyn Humphrey is thrilled to be a part of her fourth production at the Hale Centre Theatre. She has had the privilege to perform in several shows at ALAQCHS under the direction of Jenifer Hansen along with Robin Elowe at Studio R Ballet. Payten Christopher McLeod is as always grateful to be back on the Hale stage. Ashlynn Taylor is very excited to make her Hale Centre Theatre debut in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! A few of her favorite credits include Matilda (Mrs. Wormwood), Anything Goes (Reno Sweeney), Nunsense (Sister Mary Amnesia) for her High School Senior Capstone Project, and Drowsy Chaperone (Trix the Aviatrix). In the fall, she will be attending Brigham Young University where she plans to continue her love for performing.
Reegan is thrilled to return to the Hale Centre Theatre stage in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! He was recently seen in Camelot (Tom of Warwick) and has loved every opportunity to perform at Hale in the past. Joseph is originally from Mississippi where he got his BFA in musical theatre from the University of Mississippi. He currently teaches drama, voice, and dance at East Valley High School. He is also on the board of directors for Places Productions. His past credits include The Scarlet Pimpernel, Anything Goes, Newsies, Titanic, My Fair Lady, Bye Bye Birdie, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Footloose at Hale Centre Theatre. Camryn is thrilled to be making another appearance on the Hale Centre Theatre stage! This is Camryn’s second show at Hale as she was previously seen as Female Ensemble Swing in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Some of her past credits include Anything Goes (Reno Sweeney), Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Grace Bradley- NYA winner) and Drowsy Chaperone (Janet van de Graaf). Bennett is ecstatic to be creating this chocolate confectionary world of pure imagination! This is Bennett’s twenty-fourth Hale production! Brandt Norris is happy to be Understudying in this production for his 19th show with the theater! Aubrey is a dancer who began her musical theatre journey in 2023. Her theatre credits include: Cinderella, Seussical (ensemble/dance captain), The Pajama Game (Gladys), West Side Story (Francisca), and recently choreographed the Palmdale Playhouse production of Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. She is excited to be apart of her first production at Hale Centre Theatre and thanks God for giving her the courage to pursue this newfound passion & the support of family and friends!
Justin M. Howell is honored to return to the Hale stage. Justin was last seen in The Scarlet Pimpernel (Prince of Wales/Robespierre) in Favorite roles include Prospero in The Tempest and Charlemagne in Pippin, both during his time at UCLA. Ray Uriel is thrilled to join the cast of Charlie! His past roles range from Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera to Will Parker in Oklahoma!, and Signor Nacarelli in UIndy Opera Theatre’s The Light in the Piazza. Outside of theater, Ray is a recording artist and was a semi-finalist on Season 23 of NBC’s The Voice. He’s grateful to be back in the theater and sharing in the magic of live performance at Hale.

Jenina Gallaway has performed extensively in musical theatre and opera with companies across the US and internationally, including Arizona Opera, Utah Festival Opera, Musical Theatre, and more. Recent roles include Sarah in Ragtime, Hannah in Newsies and a solo debut with the Prescott Pops Symphony. Her operatic roles feature Serena in Porgy and Bess, the title role in Suor Angelica, Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, and more. Jenina is a Metropolitan Opera National Council district winner and holds degrees in Vocal Performance (B.A., M.M.) and is completing her DMA in 2025.
Alice is so excited to be a part of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Alice was most recently seen on the Hale stage in The Marvelous Wonderettes (Betty Jean), A Christmas Carol (Mrs. Cratchit) and Fiddler on the Roof (Golde). Carah Mollerup is thrilled to be making her Hale debut! Some of her favorite musical theatre credits include White Christmas (Ensemble), The Secret Garden (Claire/ Ayah), Guys and Dolls (Sarah Brown), and Sweeney Todd (Johanna). In opera, Carah has performed in Giulio Cesare (Cleopatra), La Traviata (Ensemble), and various concerts as a soloist with Chandler Opera. She and her husband Jason welcomed their first baby girl last May.
Cambrian James is well-known for his versatile staging throughout the Valley and nationally. He is a multi-award winning director and choreographer for Tarzan, The Wizard of Oz, Footloose, Damn Yankees and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Cambrian has enjoyed a long career as an actor and dancer in Annie (Daddy Warbucks), Crazy For You (Bobby Child), The King and I (The King) and Hairspray (Edna Turnblad).
This is Lincoln's 72nd Hale show as music director, and he is excited for you to see this phenomenal cast! Recent credits: Cinderella, Bye Bye Birdie, Unsinkable Molly Brown, Life Could Be a Dream, and Always, Patsy Cline.
