Mari was born in New York, but grew up in Utah within a strong musical tradition. From a young age, Mari's training was coupled with experience on stage, on the road, and in the studio, drawing her first professional paycheck at the age of 13. An accomplished drummer, vocalist, guitarist, keyboardist, and songwriter, she has appeared with numerous groups in varying genres from Las Vegas to New York, including Tas Cru and His Band of Tortured Souls, Dick Earl's Electric Witness, Halogyns, Pale Dream, and Anna Beck. Her theatrical pit orchestra credits include Starlight Express, Mary Poppins, and School of Rock, and audiences in Salt Lake City are privileged to experience Mari's live solo act. Mari studied under a Music Performance scholarship at Dixie State University (Utah Tech) and is also a talented freelance artist who loves painting, photography, embroidery, and cake decorating.
